Fun Things To Discover Within Walking Distance
+ Check out the funky vintage Airstream for locally roasted coffee & baked goods. On different days food trucks set up by the Airstream & the bicycle shop. Look for Dough-Joe’s for homemade doughnuts (just follow the irresistible aroma).
+ Explore one-of-a-kind bars 1/2 mile away…there’s the newly opened Joymongers pub specializing in craft beers aged in barrels, West End Opera House to play some old school darts or enjoy a brew sitting out on the deck at The Tap.
+ Go for a stroll and explore the tree-lined neighborhood with its charming historic homes built during Winston-Salem’s tobacco heyday.
+ Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner, classic Sunday brunch or Tapas Tuesday at the gourmet restaurant next door, one of our city’s finest.
+ On a sunny day check out the interesting home goods shops 1/2 mile away and stop by the homemade gelato shop for a tasty afternoon pick-me-up.
+ Check out the cool farm in the middle of the city. Say hello to the farm animals, pick up some local produce. Strawberries in May and explore the pumpkin patch in October (a great photo op).
+ Sample infused honey at Urban Colony Store’s “honey bar.” We love the bourbon & chocolate infused honeys. The building used to be a pharmacy back in the day when they had soda fountains.
+ Spice up your day at The Porch Cantina for fresh Tex-Mex fare, try their signature margarita flights, play some corn hole, then drop on over to Hoot’s Roller Bar & Beer Company.
